Basically this project was a response to president Barack Obama's State of the Union speech. However the cool twist was that we didn't play ourselves in this debate. We each played different historical figures both living and dead. It was really cool since it was like role-playing, and not the weird creepy kind, the D&D/creepy anime kind. I played Alexander Hamilton with a partner. Here's the opening statement that we presented.
I feel that this whole project can be summed up in the moments where I just presented a very good point that can be considered a political burn. It just feels so good to disapprove another political figure or having superior knowledge on a subject. You just look and feel good when you do that, you know? |
I feel that I contributed quite a bit to this panel. I played Alexander Hamilton who was a founding father. Therefore he had some pretty strong views on what this country should look like. So I think that my portrayal of him was pretty good. What he stood for was very simple but very influential. Many times he had to be the devil's advocate.
The thing I'm most proud of when I completed this project was that I was able to get everything done on time and was completely ready for exhibition. So when I was there I rocked it. What I learned from this project? Well I didn't learn many life lessons but I did gain a very interesting insight on different views on politics. I may have ben (as my character) really for something but another character is totally against it. That's about it. |
